THE WANTING BUSH

Sound Sculpture from The Ritual Within


A desire itself is just as real as the fulfillment of that desire. „The Wanting Bush“ is a manifestation of twelve recorded streams of yearnings layered onto each other, giving voice to desires and wants in that particular moment - an affirmative meditation I do regularly. In its multi-layered and infinite form the sound sculpture invites imagination to thrive and have a life of its own, with the continuous stream taking unex- pected pauses or aggregating seemingly random accumulations of speech.

I feel an urge to tend to my wishes and desires - to let them run free and to listen to them deeply. To me they are the birthplace of change, transformation and hope.
